chewing on ball

really? how long do i have to stop putting her in the play ball?

hi!
whenever i put my hamster in her ball, she always runs to a corner and starts chewing on the top. it got so bad that i had to put tape on each lock after i put her in. is something wrong? how can i make her stop?

she probably doesn't like being in the hamster ball. I would just stop putting her in there. some hamsters don't like it.

Personally, I wouldn't put her in there anymore. It seems she just gets really stressed out from being in there. If you want to try to get her used to being in the ball. You could drop some sunflower seeds in the ball. For some reason food is a good way to encourage behavior that you want. If she doesn't like being in the ball, You can always try returning the ball and getting an exercise play pen and placing her in the pen for her to roam. That way she will get the same exercise as she would in the ball but she won't be as stressed.
