poop

my hamster poops everytime i pick her up and when i put her down on the bed to play with her. why does she poop every single time?

hi enaa,

hamsters pee and poop when they are scared, excited or stressed, esspecially when they are young, as the muscles cant control themselves.

chances are all the excitemant and fear is causing her to have a poo. she will grow out of this, and chances are she probably pees in her excersize ball as well.

rememeber your not doing anything wrong, shes just a baby and this phase will pass.

however if she starts to show signs of an illness, stops eating etc see a vet.
