hamster blocking tubes

My teddy bear hamster has been with me for a week.  She has just started using her bedding to block her running tubes.  I'm afraid she'll be stuck without food and water.  Why does she do this?

  this is pretty normal, she'll rearrange and arrange her bedding alot in the first few weeks.she will unblock her tubes when she wants food or water and its very unlikely she will get stuck at all.
  Chances are in the tubes is where she feels most safe and warm to sleep, try and encourage her by giving her a house or a nesting box to sleep in if you're still worried.
