Hamster not eating and sleeps alot

Hi, I have 2 yrs and 3 months old hamster named Pippi. Recently, he is not eating and is drinking less. He sleeps alot and not active anymore. He moves slow and breathes heavily. I've taken him to see vet 3 days ago, and the doctor said Pippi has lung infection or bronchitis. So, the doctor gave him an antibiotic shot, and asked me to feed him vitamins, antibiotics, and pedialyte (all given by the doctor) twice a day every day. I've been feeding him all those and luke warm milk (sometimes) every morning and night, and still continue to provide him with brocolli, seeds and a little apple. But he still not recovering and not eating his food. He will only take the med and vitamins. There is no sign of wet tail, lost of fur or diarrhea. His eyes are still bright and fur is still soft. What can I do to help him get better. I'm so worried. Please help! Thanks a bunch in advance.

Well your hamster is getting up in age and you've done everything that I would do. I really can't help you because everything that I would say you should do you have done. You can try buying some mazuri hamster pellets and mashing them up and mixing them with warm milk and putting the food in a tiny syringe or dropper and try giving him a little of that a day. You will just have to baby him. He needs to it to get his strength back and the mazuri hamster pellets are basically a complete food diet rolled into one big pellet and so he can get the nutriets he nees without you having to mash up everything. this is the only advice that I have left. Also, I hope you know that you have kept your hamster a very long time. hamsters generally live 2-3 years. you've done a great job so far.
