hampster question

hello, first i wanna say thank u in advance if u can provide me with some info. recently i bought my daughter a hampster, now shes curious as to know what gender it is, male or female. i was wondering if u could assist us in how to tell and what to do to find this out :) well again thnx in advanced for taking the time to help us :) looking forward to hearing from you and so is my daughter :)

Depending on the age of your hammy, this could be real simple, or real hard. Young hamsters are very hard to sex until they age. When they do, male hamsters will have pronounced testicles that appear like a large buttock, or 2 little bumps on the hind end. Females have a flat bottom, with no bumps. If   you really want to check to make fully sure, the space between anus and reproductive organ can indicate gender as well. Here is a picture to go along with what I mean:
