Hamster Bedding -- help?

We just discovered my dad accidentally threw away our hamster bedding. I've read somewhere that you can use shredded toilet paper, is this true? Is there any risk for my hamster? Can it be harmful in any way?

No,it is not a very good idea to put shredded toilet paper as a repplacable for bedding. Chances are it will star playing with it and shredding it even more. Though I guess you will have no choice but to . Just to give you a tip:First put a big paper towel under it and then put the little pieces of toilet paper on it. Be carefull and watch it for about ten minutes and if you notice that it starts to gat tangled up remove all the paper and wait until tommorrow (as soon as you can get it new bedding)or if you want to go out and buy it now.It is verry important that you buy your hamster bedding soon. Also with the toilet paper when the hamster pees it will get wet and soogy and your hamster is going to get disgusted. I would reccomend not to put any paper on it and just wait until tommorow.
