how can i tame my hamster?they bite me when i pick up them...

Answer
Young hamster will naturally bite through fear or running away.
I recommend that you use thin garden gloves and sit with you hamster and offer a tit bit of food such as a shaving of carrot to reassure your hamster he /she does not need to be scared.


Some hamster unfortunately remain un tameable of they will only be picked up by crawling onto your hand outside the cage door as some can be territorial.

It is never a good idea to suddenly wake a hamster up and take it straight from its nest as it will bite in defence.
