Robo hamster pair

Question
Hi Shawntiah,

I have a query about my pair of Robos (Loki and Thor!).  The two were previously caged together, until I noticed that although Loki was running around and active, Thor hadn't left his bed. I lifted him out and he was having a problem with his right front paw. To cut a long story short, his paw is fine now, but he's been isolated from his brother for just over two weeks now. I know that they're sociable by nature, and I have the cages next to each other so can can see and smell each other, but I'm a little concerned about reintroducing him. I don't want them to be miserable apart, but I don't want to reintroduce only to find that they've forgotten each other and see them fight. I don't even want to imagine how hard it would be to separate two Robos...

Any advice gratefully received.

Kindest Regards

Catherine

Answer
Hello Catherine,
Actually robo hamster can be happy by themselves. If you really want to reintroduce them I would try introducing them outside their cages and place them together. That way they can have a reunion and if they don't start fighting then you can place them in one of the cages. You know I would also mix bedding from both cages together that way both of their scents can be in one cage again.
