hamster sick

Question
my hamster has been running and playful and great for the past year and a half until about a month ago. Now she doesnt move that much and she cant function her left leg properly. My mom isnt letting me take her to a vet but i think that shes dieing because of whatever is wrong with her. When i feel her ribcage there is a little kind of a bump that feels like a bone but i cant feel it on her other side. what's wrong? she is also sleeping a lot

Unfortunatley there isn't much advice i can give as it does sound as though your hamster really needs to see a vet! Without being told what is wrong with her you can not treat her. There are things you can try to do to make her more comfortable though. Is she eatnig and drinking? If not you need to help her with this by syring feeding her. Try offering baby food in a dish and from a syringe, this is full of goodness and they like the taste. Human baby food is fine, Cow and Gate Sunshine Bannana powder food is best, mix this with water to make a smooth paste and use this. Also you must make sure she has plenty of bedding and her cage is kept somewhere warm, but not in direct sunlight!
