shooulder training

Question
is there any other way to shoulder train ferrets besid3s the newspaper and basket method? I've tried it before and it didn't work,but I just got 2 more ferrets and wnated to try to train them.

Hello,
To shoulder train a ferret,  try putting their harness on with the leash on, and simply teach your ferret to balance while you have them on your shoulder. The harness and leash gives you something to hold onto for the ferret's safety by draping the leash over the back of your neck and holding it with the opposite hand. For instance, ferret is on your left shoulder, leash goes around the back of your neck, over the RIGHT shoulder, and is held in the right hand.
Give the ferrets treats while he learns to balance on your shoulder. But do not start with your shoulder. Hold him up against your chest first, and make sure he feels secure, and then advance to your shoulder. This technique can take a few weeks total, so patience is a virtue.
