female ferret sexual aggression

Question
good day! i have a female spayed ferret of two years. recently introduced another spayed ferret to our family and at first all was while. they played and got along well. as of this last week, my older ferret has been grabbing the other around the neck and dragging her around as i have read in books about ferret reproduction cycles. the new ferret squeals and tries to get away from the other and now does not want to go near the older ferret. my question is this : can the hormones cause this display, even if both females are spayed,of sexual aggression? the older female does seem as if she is in heat by her actions when her neck and back are rubbed. she chirps and tail fur puffs out. should they be kept apart during season? will this be an ongoing problem? is there anything to be worried about?

Answer
It sounds more like they are fighting through introductions.  A spayed female will not experience sexual aggression unless she is showing symptoms of adrenal.  It is possible that she is adrenal, but 2 is a little young for most cases.  I would leave them alone to sort it out without human interference since we tend to make it worse.
