sore feet

My ferret has swollen, sore feet. The nails on each toe are about 3cm long with
something that appears to be skin around them. The ferret also finds it hard to
walk. I have no idea what is wrong with it and any help would be much
appreciated.

Take your ferret to a vet to have their feet checked. 3cm nails is a very long length for a ferret and it is possible it has an infection or ingrown toenails. A ferret should have it nails trimmed, teeth cleaned, ears cleaned and weighed every 2 weeks. Please take your ferret to a ferret vet as soon as possible - its inability to walk is a big problem.
