hi- i have a 6yr old ferret with adrenal tumors. due to this, she has lost most of her hair. her skin is soooo dry! is there anything topical i can use to treat it? baby oil? vasoline?

Hello, I am sorry to hear about your ferret having this condition. I am not aware of any topical for the dry skin that is "over the counter," but your vet may have something you can try. I would not recommend any ointment like Vaseline, due to the  fact that it is an emollient, and may actually prevent the skin from "breathing" and may make the situation worse. You vet may also have an oral tx. that may help as well.
