Boston Terrier Agression

I have a 9yr old boston terrier and we recently came across a 1yr old female boston terrier, when brought together to meet for possible breeding he attacked and bit her...I'm wondering...why did he react this way?

Where did you introduce them? It's important to introduce new dogs on neutral territory.

Your male could be jealous.  Boston Terriers although gentle dogs, were originally bred for the pit and dog aggression can still be seen today.
