Brown Tear Stain

Is brown tear staining common among Chinese Crested?  I purchased some cleaning pads, but they only seem to smear the stain.  Any suggestions on how to clean?

I'm not very familuar with Chinese Cresteds.  However, tear staining is very common in a lot of breeds.  For the tear staining on my Shih Tzu I make a mixture to clean it.  I take baking soda and mix peroxide with it just until it makes a paste.  I then place the paste on the tear stained area and rub it in and rinse it out.  This has worked wonders for me.  You might possibly want to let it sit for about a minute for bad cases.
