Question
First off I would like to thank you for any help you can give me. My dog was just put on antibiotics for a spider bite now he is having a very bad case of yeast infection in the paw.. I have him on new food taste of the wild is this good food??? He is an 8 year old French bulldog. I also have him on mess from the vet. Cucumber melon liquid for the sight and ketoconazole.  I cleane the area with a mixture of 1 gallon water, white vinegar and a cup of hydrogen peroxide what else can I do an what I'm I'm doing it is it correct?? Any help would be great

Answer
Hi,
I would temporarily put him on pro plan salmon for sensitive stomach and skin.  I would add to that, one eighth of a teaspoon of yogurt.  While he is on the antibiotic, I would take the ketoconazole away until you ask your vet if you can mix that with the antibiotic.  Sometimes these things don't mix or one medicine will hamper the other from working.  I would give him an infant dose of antihistamine to sooth his itching.
But, The antihistamine is good for the spider bite, too.
I have heard of the dog food you are feeding, but have not tried it.  I also don't remember the ingredients.  Make sure there is protein first, no corn, and then barley or rice down there somewhere.  Avoid wheat if you can.
