Siberian Husky Sores

Question
Hello, and thanks first of all.  I have a four year old Siberian Husky, and he has just recently gotten two open sores on the top of his head.  I clipped away the fur there, and applied some antibiotic ointment.  Upon further inspection, I also noticed he has two other scabs, one also on the top of his head, the other at the base of his chin.  All are sensitive to the touch.  I have a doggie door, and thought he may have bumped his head there, but that doesn't make sense with his scab under his chin.  I also thought he may have gotten rain under his coat and developed the open sore, since Huskies can have that happen with their oily coats, but it doesn't seem like that either (though it might be).  Any info you have would help, he's up-to-date on all shots and what not.

Thanks!

Answer
Hi Nate,  It is so hard to say what those could be.  The safest thing to do would be to have a vet do a skin scraping on the sores and make sure that they aren't some sort of fungus that is spreading.  Wish I could be of further help, but that is the only thing I can think of to make sure it is nothing serious.  Especially if the anitbiotic ointment doesn't cure them.
