Question
Hi i hope you can help, brandy is a golden male cocker spaniel and he is 9 years old,my mum died coming up 3 years and she was at home with him all the time, and would take him out with her if she went out! we have had him since a puppy, and he has anxiety separation disorder and cant be left on his own, without causing problems we have tried to re home him and the man he is with wants to send him back because he keeps growling at him! he has only had him a week, so as far as we know we are having him back, can you help with anything to let him be left in the house please, before he went to the new home we were putting him in the garden if the weather was ok, but what with the winter its not possible, please help!!!
Many Thanks

Answer
Dear Karen,
Thank you for your questions. Sorry to hear of your troubles.

You didn't mention . .

what exactly does he do when he is left alone
is he destructive and specifically what does he destroy,
does he eliminate inside,
does he bark/whine/howl,
does he salivate?

Do you crate him when you leave him alone and if so what happens?
or if not,  why?

Please answer each question and I will be happy to offer sound advice. Thank you.

Happy Training!
