dog has the runs

Question
my weenie dog just had 5 puppies now she has the runs is this normal.i have been feeding her extra since she had the puppies could that be the reason.

Answer
If you are feeding her something new, then it is definitely possible.  Try giving her something bland - such as boiled chicken and rice - and nothing else other than some water for 24-48 hours.  If it doesn't get better then it most likely wasn't from the food, in which case you will want to contact your vet.
