Hello Karen,
We got a new 3 month old puppy a month ago and have been lucky enough to spend 24/7 with her. We now have to go back to work and I was wondering if it is okay to leave a 4 month old puppy alone. We come home at lunch and she is never alone longer than 5 hours at a time. It seems inhumane (for some reason) to leave her alone so long....or am I being overly sensitive?

As long as someone is coming home at lunchtime to let her outside and play with her for a bit, it is not inhumane at all. She will evolve into a pattern of sleeping in her crate while you are gone, but I guarantee that the evenings will be wild<G>.
