thunder and firework anxiety

Question
my dog is out of her acepromazine and the vet is outta town,
she is a big lab,chow mix, she is a rescue
she tears up the house drools, makes herself vomit, pees scratches if she is not medicated for these events.i have used xanax before, with good results, i wnat to know if xanax xr is safe.
or any other recomendations that could be in the house

Thanks for your question.  What I have done and would recommend highly is Tylonal PM.  IT calms there nerves and will make her a little more manange able during this time.  It wouldnt be a bad idea to keep her in a crate or a doggy play pen so she is out of harms way and doesnt hurt herself or anyone around her.  Hope this helps.  Kati
