Dog Vs Baby Toys

Question
We have a 6 month old cocker spaniel and 2 daughters (3 and 1 year olds). How to we separate the kids toys from the dogs toys. At the moment she (the dog) just helps herself to any toy as she obviously cannot differentiate between the two - What is the best way to manage this.

Hi Rob, that is an impossible task.  As you have probably seen, most dog toys are made of the same material as kids toys, so since dogs go by what they feel in their mouths as to what is theirs, it is exactly the same and there is no way for them to tell them apart.  It does make a great way to teach kids to pickup their toys though.  :)  We do it with our son all the time.  Hope this helps,
