Free feeding a puppy

My Lola is a three month old female Pomeranian who weights 3.0 pounds. I picked her up from the breeder when she was 8 weeks old. The breeder said  that she free feed her puppies until they get older. When should I put her on a feeding schedule, and how many meals should I serve her? Thank you very much for your time.

Hello Congrats on your new puppy. I free fed all my dogs when they were puppies until they were 5/6 months old but htis isnt nessairy but it pervents you forgetting a meal or if your at work and the puppy is penned you can leave the dish full and that way the puppy doenst need to wait until you get home to be feed. You can do a shedual anytime but I've tryed and failed too many times with feeding times on young puppies. Best of luck with your new puppy.
