care of scratch spot

Question
Hi, I have a 9 month old white German shepherd dog.  He has hot spots and one has become kin of ugly, very red and weeping, with some bleeding when he scratches.  Just recently found it was smelling and we have started treating with bacatracin and trying to put some kind of bandage that will stay on him to keep it clean.  Over the last 2 days, it is looking and smelling better, but my question is how do I keep a bandage on him?  With 2 of us holding him down trying to wrap it around his head, it is at the back of his neck, in the middle of his neck.  The spot is easily gotten to but to wrap it with his bending his neck, I just am at a loss as to what to use to keep this spot covered so it can heal.  If he leaves it alone, it will heal as have all his other spots.

Thank you for your time.

Answer
The first question I have is has a Veteinarian looked at your dog? if not, they can help you! the issue here is should not be how to wrap the wound but how to prevent reinjury, Your vet should have what is called an Elizabethian Collar which will protect wounds by preventing the dog from being able to use its paws on a wound on or around its head.
