My 8 year old dog has started chewing the fence

Last year when I went on vacation, my lab/rotweiller mix started chewing on our wooden gate to escape.  He does this everytime we are not home.  We replaced it two weeks ago and he has already chewed a hole in it.  How do we get him to stop?

Well there are a few things you can do

First try using a tie out for him,have the rope long enough to go all around the yard,just short of the fence

Another you can try is to get a toy called a 'Kong' toy(can be bought at most pet stores)and stuff it with with treats or something like peanut butter

Something that also works is something called 'rescue remedy' it can be boought in health food stores,and what it does is calms dogs down,but it is all natural product

And if all else fails,as a last resort talk to your vet about using drugs,like Prozac-as alot of people have to use them when they are out,but only under a vet's advice
