My Dog keeps whimpering

Hi,
I have a springer spaniel who is 6. The last couple of days she keeps crying and whimpering. Even when we are in the same room and she is in her bed she does it. She is still eating and going toilet and she looks in good health.Not sure what could be wrong with her?

Thank you for writing to me about your Springer Spaniel.

There is definitely something that is causing your dog to cry and whimper.  In the wild, dogs or their ancestors the wolves, are genetically constructed to hide pain and weakness for fear of being ousted by the pack, which can't afford to have a weak link in their midst.  Therefore, if your dog is crying, there is something terribly wrong and I would rush her to the vet on an emergency basis.

The fact that she is eating is a good sign but something is causing her enough pain to vocalize it.
