Question
I have a white (with dark brown speckles and light brown ears) and he is a wonderfull dog. Typical excitable 5 year old pointer but have managed to keep his paws down and relatively under control. He has had a few sharp whacks in his time. I could not wish for a better dog. Everyone knows and loves him. He has no idea how many smiles he brings to peoples faces every day of his life grown ups and kids alike. He is incredibly sensative to moods, the moist sensative dog I have ever had. He is not interested in being a good dog (although he is in many ways) he is just interested in being a dog. I walk him every day at dawn on the beach and in the evening after his food. He has a lot of freedom, never on a lead, I have him stop at the edge of the pavements and wait until I releae him. The big but is that he squeeks. For 5 years he squeeks when he wants to go out. He squeeks on his way to a walk in the car. I have tried  all this time, holding his nose and trying to tell him to stop. Do ou have any ideas please?

Answer
What often works, are those collars that are meant to stop barking-and what they do is spray lemon juice in the dog's face, without hurting but just getting there attention enough to stop barking/whining/squeaking,as it is annoying when they do make noises for attention

And a lot of times you only have to get refills once or twice, and a lot of times they only need to wear the collar and they will stay quiet
