walk of a lab/chow

Question
I have a 16 month olf lab/chow female. She does not walk with her feet going straight forward.
Most of time when she walks, she put her hind feet in front of each other. So her back sways like a model. I'm giving here mult-vit. and extra vit.C. I'm worryed that she might have some thing
wrong with her hips, also she doesn't jump up on
the sofa, she all ways climbs up, she weights about
60 lbs

Answer
Hi Kathie,

Without seeing the gait, it's sure hard to know if it's not right.  I'd recommend finding an animal chiropractor in your area, and have the dog looked at.  It sounds like she's walking a tightrope, and it may just be a matter of being "bound up!"  Without seeing, I'd be only guessing.

Go to www.animalchiropractic.org, and find the referral link.  Any AVCA certified doctor ought to be able to help.

Good luck, and keep me posted as to what you learn!
