Question
I have a 2 year old black lab and noticed something on her very upper chest, between her front legs.  It was shaped like a small piece of rice, and looked to be black at one end.  It was like a zit, and completely below her skin.  At first I thought it may be a nipple, but realized it was up much too far, and that there wasn't one to correspond on the other side.  I sterilized a needle and poked one end of it.  I then squeezed it and what appeared to be insect guts came out the open end (different shades of black - like popping a zit)  It is gone, but I have NO idea what it was.  HELP.

Thanks!

Answer
Well ticks are brownish black but it would have likely been blood coming out....I'm not sure the only known bug at lest I know of taht digs into skin of people and animals is ticks...but there are other ones if you might look them up on your search engine I wish I could be of more help...Sorry!
