10 week old chihuahua puppy

I just noticed today my male puppy had green crust around the head of his penis. I cleaned it off and later tonight I noticed a thick brown substance stuck in the hair growing in the same area. There is not a lot but I was wondering if he may have an infection.
Also we have found a few fleas on him. The breeder we bought him from told us to use diluted Dawn dishsoap leave it on for 3-4 minutes and then rinse. We did this once found some dead fleas and then a few days later did it again and found some more dead fleas. I was wondering if you would recommend something for fleas. I don't know what to use for him because he is so small. He is currently 3lbs 4 oz. Thank you!

I would take your puppy to the vet within the next couple of days.  It does sound to me that he may have a UTI, you also have to be very careful with chihuahuas because they can crash very quickly due to glucose problems they are prone to get when pups.  Many pet stores won't sell small chihuahuas for that particular reason.  Also if your puppy had or still has fleas that is one more concern, many small puppies that get fleas get sick fast, they get a very low immunity then prone to other diseases and bacteria lurking around. While at the shelters I also used Dawn for fleas on pups and kittens because flea medicines are too strong. The best bet is to get him in for a vet check asap, they will be able to tell you what treatments will work together.  Sorry I couldn't help you better but they are too tiny to take chances with.
