Scabs

Hello.  My maltepoo has been getting raised very dark scabs his ear and neck.  We took him to the vet a month ago when we found the first one, They said it was nothing. now he has 4 spots. When you are scratching him you can feel them through his fur, And they are really nasty to look at. He acts just fine and doesn't itch much.  Thanks!

I'm not a doctor, but it's obvious your vet missed something, it's time for a return trip to your vet.

Your dog might have Sarcoptic mange or scabies, a reaction to flea bites, or an allergy. It's also possible that your dog has a secondary bacterial or yeast skin infection, if the areas look inflamed.

Your vet should preform a skin scraping test, provide you with a treatment to resolve the skin condition, and also provide you with something to relieve the itching, so healing can begin.
