Diarrhea on time

Every 3-4 weeks my dog gets about a day or two of diarrhea. We have tried chicken rice, switching to non allergenic food, checked for all sorts of worms, no more treats, yet it still happens almost like clockwork every 3-4 weeks?  The vets have been little assistance I have been to 3 of them.

Hi John,

Thank you for writing to me about your dog's clock work diarrhea.  I would suggest keeping a diary...what does your dog eat several days leading up to the diarrhea?  What does she come in contact with other than food?  In a few months you should begin to see a pattern and then you can show this to your vet.  If it was the food, it would be an on-going issue so it's something that happens just prior to the "event."  Keep a detailed log and something should present itself to you.
