Pug peeing in bed

Question
Hello, three days ago I purchased a pug dog. It is a neutered male about 14 months old. He is kennel trained and the foster family we got him from said that during the day he was kenneled while they were gone and at night he would sleep in their bed with them. Since we have had the dog he has slept in my bed with me or my five year olds bed with her. I noticed this morning that he peed in my bed and then my daughter informed me that he peed in her bed the night before. To my knowledge the dog has only had one BM in the house and I have found no wet spots. He has not spent much time in the kennel since we got him because we are currently on vacation but starting next week he will be in a kennel from 6-8 hours a day. Why is this new dog peeing in our beds? What can be done to correct it? I do not want the dog to have to spend all day and night in a kennel.

Answer
Hello...the dog should not be in the bed. This dog is having some seperation issues from being with a new family and will have housebreaking issues. These issues may get worse in about another week. Sorry but they may. You should place the kennel in the room at night and let the dog be in the room with you or with your daughter. if it does get worse, you may have to start the housebreaking process over. Dogs do not understand the inside/ outside concept and since the dog doesnt know your house, may be confused. Write me after another week and lets start there.
thanks
