8 Week Old Lab-Crate Training

We just got an 8 week old yellow lab about a week ago.  We have a crate that has a partition and have given her enough room to lay down.  She will pee or poop on one side and sit on the other until she is let out. If she gets wet from the pee she doesn't seem to mind.  She will also get barking about 2:00 a.m. We take her out and most of the time she won't go potty, we put her back in the crate and she barks and whines until she is let out again.  She only wants to play or eat/drink.  What should we do?

Try taking the water up about 7 PM.  When you make that last trip outside, make sure she walks around until she does something.  The movement is very important in stimulating elimination.  When she barks in the middle of the nigh, respond as quickly as you can, and again make sure she moves around.
