Foul smelling gas and diahrea

I have a male shipoo who just turned one in October he has had diahrea yesterday and this morning but now i notice very smelly gas that he has been passing.  I also noticed that he has been scooting his behind on my carpet for about 3 days what might this be the indication of?  Thanks for any assistance you can offer me.

The diarrhea and gas could be from an indigestible he helped himself to or a bug.  The scooting is likely his anal glands.  I am not one to run to the vet all the time, but the vet can easily fix the scooting.  As for the other, it could take a turn for the worse over the weekend or holiday.  I think you should get him in before then.
