having babies now

well it seam she is in labor and last night she lost a bag with some grass stuff in it my son saw it  we did not see it but it was about 11:30 pm she has been in labor all day but still seams hungry we still see the babies moving she is panting alot harder her eyes are very red but that is because she has been up we think it has been about 20 hours and we are wondering what next or how long till we should have pups thank you again for your help waitting to hear from you ...laura

nothing like grass should be coming out of your dog.  If she has a green discharge that could mean a dead/stuck  or decaying puppy.  Have you taken her temperature?  If she doesn't have something tonight then she should go to the vet ASAP for at least a check up. Her temp should be 98 degrees and then you should wait no longer than 24 hours for most breeds before getting her to a vet with a possible c-section.  some of the large headed dogs you only wait 3 hours.   If you have an emergency vet in your area, you should call them this eve and possibly take her in so you don't lose her IF she is in trouble.
