adult females in heat and urinating in house

Hi,
I have two female dogs- a 3 year old cocker spaniel and a similar aged mongrel. They are both fully house-trained and get on very well together. At the moment they are both in heat and are simulating sex with each other. Suddenly one (or perhaps both) have started to urinate in the house- we don't know which one because we haven't caught them doing it. Is this likely to be connected with being in heat and what can we do to stop it?
I'd really appreciate your help because as I said they never normally wee in the house.

Pick up some ''Seasonals'' or other brand of doggy sanitary garments.  Almost any behavior can be considered normal.  Please take care not to let them get accidentally bred.   

If you are a rational, responsible person, you will get them both spayed as soon as they are done and the vet will do it.
