Question
I HAVE, A 3 MONTH OLD SHEPARD/ROTTI MIX I HAVE HAD HER FOR 1 MONTH NOW , WHEN I TRY TO TAKE HER OUTSIDE FOR A WALK SHE REFUSES TO GO AND I PRACTICALLY HAVE TO DRAG HER TO GET HER MOVING, SHE DOES NOT WANT TO LEAVE THE DRIVEWAY, OR SHE PULLS BACK TO THE HOUSE, IS THIS A PHASE OR AM I DOOMED TO DRAG AN 80 POUND DOG AROUND FOR A WALK?

Answer
This is a normal phase for her age. I'm not sure of her size, but what I do with mine the first few times is carry them away from the house a block or so and then praise them as they try to hurry back home. You could also use food to lure her and praise her in a happy, upbeat voice when she moves forward. The other thing that will usually work well is to find a walking partner with a nice, older dog. The puppy will learn from the older dog as it follows it.
