Great Dane Blue Merle (vaginal discharge+sweeling)

I rescued a 5 month old Dane in December.  She has had some trials and tribulations but is no worse for wear, until now:  I was given some advice by a vet concerning her Vagina,there was some redness, they told me to get diaper rash cream for it, but now its more red and there is a light brown discharge, is is an infection? and should I take her in?. When I bought her, I noticed that it seemed like she had her back legs severely bent and was terrified of the crate I had received with her, so I started to ask questions about the care of the dog and was not convinced by the answers I got, they lied to me and told me there were no pre-existing health problems.  They are breeders (poodles) and when I was there I saw no other dogs, yet they claimed they were in the house.  I fear that those dogs are being kept in the very same way; locked up all day. If there is anything I can do about this travesty let me know. Our dogs name is Justice,  Fitting don't you think?.  Thank you..... Kelly+Ron

Sounds like she's coming in heat. Take her back to the vet just to be sure it isn't an infection but it sure sounds like a heat cycle to me.
You can call the local humane society, police if it's city, sherriff's department if it's county and report inhumane conditions. They'll investigate.
