Do chihuahuas learn certain triats?

Do chihuahua pick up on and learn traits from thier mothers? Like what to do when they are in trouble, when to be afraid or look it?

All puppies learn certain traits from the mother,like if they are fighting the mother will often pick up the puppy and put it somewhere else,also the mother often teaches them what is ok to eat
