Dog poops in house

Question
I just adopted an 11 month chinese crested who has not been housebroken. I have been able to get him to stop peeing in the house after 2 weeks, but he will not poop outside! He will either wait until I leave the house to go (I confine him to the kitchen area) or will sneak into the bathroom to poop when I am not looking. I have 2 other dogs who are housebroken and he is around them when they poop but he will not go. Any suggestions?

Answer
Have you tried confining him to a crate, so that he is forced to hold it, and has to go outside?  Once he gets a chance outside, if he does not go, he goes back into the crate.  Then he gets another chance to go outside a short time later.  Sooner or later he will have to go, and he won't want to soil his crate, so he will hold it.  Once he does potty outside you shower him with praise.  If you think it may be the grass he does not like, try to find another area like wood chips, some dogs have a preference.  The last owner might have had him going indoors on potty pads so this outside thing is new to him and he is uncomfortable, but he should get used to it once he does it a few times.

I'm sure someone has suggested using a litter box or pads, but since you already have 2 other dogs that go outside, and since it's just much more simple to housebreak a dog outside, I would not recommend it, but it's always an option.
