Pomeranian problems

Question
My 3 year old toy Pomeranian is suddenly starting to act very strange.  She doesn't have much of her usual appetite, is not going to poop or pee much at all, has less energy than usual, and now she growls and snaps very viciously at us if we try to get her to stop scratching on the couch or stop licking the carpet (something she has never done before).  Afterwards she acts as if she knows she did something wrong and tries to cuddle back up with us, but she is scaring me alot and my husband says if she keeps this up she has to go.  Please help me!  Dixie is my baby and I'm worried about what she is going on with her.

Answer
Toya,
My first concern is if she is spayed. If she is not spayed, than she may be displaying the symptoms of a false pregnancy, which is a common condition in all unspayed female dogs. If she has been spayed, than I suggest you schedule an appointment with her regular veterinarian to have any possible medical conditions ruled out.
If she comes to receive a clean bill of health, than the problem can be considered behavioral. If these acts are behavioral related, I will ask you to provide me with more details so I can evaluate the case and provide you with a corrective solution. Get back to me with a list of, what and when she eats, when she displays these behaviors, if she is housebroken, if you have had any new recent changes in her daily routine, or in the household, etc.
I can than discuss the cause of her seldom odd acts and ways they can be addressed.
