4 1/2 month cocker paper trained

Question
We have trained our 4 1/2 month cocker spaniel to do his business on the news paper and he dose really well (aside from misaiming and missing the paper) and never goes any where else in the house, and he dose it outside on command too! But I want to brake him from going on the paper entirely, but if I took his paper away he would still go in the corer that the paper was in. How do I go about dong it?

Yes, you might have a bit of a problem in breaking him from using that spot, but since he is trained to go outside, too, it is just a question of getting him outside often enough and praising him profusely for pottying there. Keep him confined in a crate when he cannot be watched in the house to avoid him using that area. Hopefully, in a couple months he will have forgotten about using that corner for his potty breaks.
