Jack Russell is dominant?

19 10:06:23

Question
My Jack Russell has become dominant. He is only 1 year and what he says pretty much goes. The main areas are when he has something in his mouth and doesn't want to give it up or if he is climbing on something he shouldn't be climbing on. He will try to bite, not snap, bite you when you try and stop him. He sometimes won't but those are the times that he just wants to play. For instance: He goes and grabs stuff just to get a reaction out of us and then he will play and not want us to have it but then when we leave him alone, he will bring it to us. We never know if he is gonna snap and bite and my wife and I both are afraid. He is just so loving most of the time and we don't know what to do. Any suggestions?

Answer
Well, when he has something you don't want him to have, offer him a treat in exchange of what he has,and the treat will also be a rewards for dropping it.And for him climbing on things, you can also use treats and get him to come to you.

And another thing that will help will be obedience classes,as that will put you,and your wife in charge and NOT the dog.And a trainer can also show you different ways of dealing with any problems you are having with the dog
