Question
QUESTION: What is the life expectancy of a Toy Schnauzer?

ANSWER: Hello Lenman;
Toy Schnauzer's live to be around the 10 year age in general...but, that is all determined by genetics, and environment as well.

So, this is a basic age, but, some can live older, and some may not.

Depending again on the factors mentioned above.

I would contact several Breeders to find out what they have experienced with their genetics in general, that will tell you a lot more about the individual breeding program.
Ask for a Vet's reference to verify their dogs health and commitment to their breeding program,
Cause, Genetics are going to be the very utmost of importance to find the "Longevity" that you are looking for!!!

Let me know if there is anything else I can assist you further.

I will be most available to help!
Please feel free to give my answer a rating as well.

Thank you in advance,
Sincerely,
Melissa

QUESTION: Melissa, We actually have a 5 year old Toy. Today, I think she wet on me, could've been a water jug, not 100% sure. Gracie lays between the arm of the chair and my leg. I don't know what to think of this other than just watching her. Is there a condition that will make her wet like this?

Answer
Hello again; Thanks for the great rating Lenman!
Incontinence can happen with any animal, like humans...but, I would watch her first for sure!

If she is a smaller dog, she cannot hold it as long, and with some, the age factor can change their habits.

So, take her out often, just in case.

But, I would not rule out the water bottle...LOL!

Best regards, and let me know how things go.

Melissa
