Question
My husband and I received two Alaskan Klee Kai (mini huskies) puppies on Sat and are create trainning them (brothers).  Right now they are 8 weeks old and doing well as far as potty training.  My question is about separate creates...we have two creates but they do not sleep well when separate (ie together 10:30pm to 6am with no crying... alone they sleep a couple hours and then cry...)The creates are also next to each other do to limited space...should they be able to see each other or should I have a blanket between the creates?  Thanks for your help,
Brooke

Answer
I agree, keep them is separate crates.  One of the reasons crates work so well is restricting activity.  Put 2 puppies in the same crate and they will play non stop.  Keep the crates together with nothing between them.  Dogs are pack animals and instinctively need company.  As long as they can see, smell, hear, and even touch a little, they won't feel so isolated.

At that age, they may still need a trip or 2 outside over night.
