Bones for dogs that will be euthanized

Hello,
I am working with a high-kill animal control trying to place/rescue the animals.  We are having a lot of success...all considered.  I want to give the dogs that are going to be put to sleep some bones on their last day of life.  Could you please recommend something?  I want to go the local butcher shops to pick up their scraps and have heard that raw soup bones are the best.  Most of the dogs are larger pit bull type. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  I just want to give the dogs some sort of pleasure before they go to heaven.  
Please spay and neuter all of your pets so we can try and end this madness!!!!

Yes raw beef bones are the best esp for larger dogs-so thats what i would go with

I also want to thank for giving these dogs a way to feel loved at the end of there too short lives-I agree with you more need to be spayed/neutered to prevent this tragic cycle
