Question
i have a wonderful new puppy and am trying to figure out what mix he is.  they said shepherd mix.  he looks alot like a collie.  his ears tip naturally and do not hang down.  he is verrrry cute.  he is 4 months old.  i got him whenever he was 8 weeks old.  the vet thought that his inner ear and dew claws point to a st bernard.

so i guess my question is, are there any large breed dogs that have small naturally tipped ears?  his ears are small for his size.

Answer
With mixes it is VERY hard to determine the breed, esp in puppies as they can grow up and look different then they did as puppies

It is possible to have collie in her,as well as several breeds, one breed that came to mind is a Leonberger, which is a large breed, but started of as a cross of several breeds-though they don't have tipped ears but they look a lot like a shepherd so it is possible to be a collie/leonberger cross as well

Here's some pics of a Leonberger
