dog problems

Is there a law out there' that makes a neighbor pick up there dogs doodle? My neighbor lets there big dogs go on my lawn all the time and never picks it up..please respond

Hi Frank,

Thank you for writing to me about your neighbor's dogs.  Every town has different laws regarding picking up after dogs.  Most towns have laws about putting trash on your neighbor's property.  You need to research the laws in your town.

After finding a law or ordinance that applys to this situation, try to record what's going on, either with a camcorder or still photography.  That is your proof!  Without that, it's he said/she said.

The other thing you can try, but it carries potential danger, is to pick up the poop, put it into a bag or onto a paper and write a note saying something like...I think you forgot something....
