dog death

Question
my dog was absolutely fine. he wasnt eating or drinking but was playing with us after a walk a half an hour b4 we returned . and i saw he fell on the floor and died.......
do dogs have heart attack .
he was having a liver problem .could his liver blast.
his belly was bulged when he died. what could that be .....
he havent eat anything from outside....>>>>>>how can he die

I am so sorry to hear about your dog. It is always so much harder when it happens so suddenly.

Some say that dogs don't really have heart attacks, but it is a known problem in Doberman Pinschers. One Dobe died suddenly at the AKC National Agility Invitationals a week or so ago before he had a chance to run; his heart just suddenly stopped beating.

Without a necropsy, it is impossible to say why your dog died suddenly. It could have been something with his liver, a result of some medication he was on, or maybe he had bloat. Bloat can be a deadly problem in some breeds, particularly those with deeper chests.

You might try calling your veterinarian and tell him what happened. He might have a better idea as to what happened with your dog.
